El Luarca C.F. wears as principal uniform: red t-shirt and black shorts and stockings.
The alternative uniform is black (t-shirt, shorts and stockings).
The club was founded in 1912 by a group of young football fans and its first name was “Luarca Sport Club”. The first president of the club was Gumersindo Rico, one of its founders.
At the beginning, the team had as main pitch, the primitive pitch La Veigona and Maria Cristina. In 1977, artificial lighting was a novelty in the current pitch, La Veigona, in order to celebrate the José María García trophy.
Every summer there is a competition for a summer trophy that faces teams from first and second division in La Veigona pitch, Mittelbrum Trophy, José María García, San Timoteo and currently, Ramón Losada.
The Ramón Losada trophy began to be played in 1997 and it takes place every year since then. It has become a yearly event of the summer football with the presence of teams such as Real Sporting de Gijón, Real Valladolid, Real Oviedo, Deportivo de la Coruña o Real Racing Club de Santander, among others.
In 2012, the centenary of the club was celebrated with a commemorative celebration, the presentation of the book “El Centenario del Luarca C.F.” by our neighbour Cipriano Fernández Fernández, and several acts that took place in our village, Luarca.
